Designed for operator comfort and flexibility. Built for 24/7 durability. Incorporating modern design aesthetics.
Our design centered focus, applied to an open and easily configurable console system, provides Adaptaspace the flexibility to respond to project specific requirements from initial design and configuration through to installation; while offering our customers consideration for future growth and evolving operational and technological requirements. Despite being design based, our cost effective, modular approach ensures our customers realize the best value for their control room investment.
All Adaptaspace consoles have been designed to withstand the rigors of 24/7, intensive use environments while incorporating the latest ‘best practices’ in ergonomic work station design, in a very flexible, highly durable and architecturally aesthetic console system. The following key features come standard in all Adaptaspace consoles.
Our base module sub structure utilizes a structural steel and aluminum framework with a unified frame construction design to stabilize all movement. Modules come in standard, reduced depth and extended depth frame sizes and can be configured to any width desired.
Corner modules are designed to meet any configuration and seamlessly attach to base modules for continuity of cable management. Offered in 5 degree mitres for a curved console appearance or up to 90 degree full corners for pod and corner layouts.
An open frame design allows building power and data to be routed from the floor into the console interior. Once in the console, our integrated cable management system provides continuous horizontal and vertical cable management allowing logical, discrete routing, and splitting of power and data cables throughout the entire console without obstruction.
The base cabinet of each console provides open span storage compartments with adequate ventilation to allow for equipment storage, easily accessed for maintenance through hinged front and rear door panels and removable top panels. Fixed equipment shelves come standard in all consoles, while slide-out, door-mounted and swivel are all available.
Work surfaces come standard with ergonomic “waterfall” sloped front edge nosing to ensure operator comfort and eliminate contact stress. The nosing is constructed of high impact, non-porous molded rubber using a one piece profile, eliminating the potential for separation, wrinkling, and damage.
Height adjustable work surface solutions for improved operator health and productivity are available on all Adaptaspace consoles. From manual to electric, adjustable sitting surfaces to full sit/stand solutions, we can support any configuration.
Adaptaspace was the first to develop a horizontal rear mounting beam system. Flex-Rail allows maximum flexibility in positioning or re-configuring monitor arm positions across the length of the console. Other accessories such as task lights, phone shelves, speakers, microphones, and various storage shelves/bins can also be mounted to the Flex-Rail beam.
Standard power distribution is provided using power strips mounted under the work surface and within the equipment cabinet which are connected to building power. Pre-wired junction boxes, zone electrical, and automatic transfer switching can all be provided as required. Integrated patch panels and data outlet boxes can aid in the distribution of network cables through the console.
